From the DylanCover.com collection:
The Mystic Moods Orchestra

Lay Lady Lay
(4:45)
The Mystic Moods Orchestra

Love The One You're With

LP: Warner Bros. WBS-2577 (1972, US)

She Belongs To Me (3:22)
The
Mystic Moods Orchestra
Country Lovin' Folk
LP: Philips PHS 600-351
(1972, US)

The Mystic Moods Orchestra formula was mixing orchestral pop instrumentals with ambient sounds - rain, thunder, wind chimes, ticking clocks, barking dogs, etc. - resulting in what has been described as "
audio aphrodisiacs..." and some weird Dylan covers.

Miscellaneous ramblings...

Obviously 3 Believers is the new project by members of the former Rolling Thunder, who released the Dylan covers album The Never Ending Rehearsal in 2001. Check out the Dylan page on their website for some mp3s and videos, and also pages for some other artists they cover.

Madrid band Los Hijos Bastardos de Henry Chinaski has a listen-only Spanish version of El Hombre Que Hay En Mi (The Man In Me) on their MySpace page.

I have revised the Moses Wiggins Troubadour album listing to include the 2007 download only version that sports different artwork, a new title "Songs of Bob Dylan," and a mis-spelling of Wiggens. Oddly, the original version is also available from the same sites!
New version at amazonmp3 / Original version at amazonmp3

Several Dylan cover bands from Germany were discovered from the "I'm Not There" contest, check out their MySpace pages: Dylan's Dream, Dylan Night Band, How Many Roads and Who Cares? (named after Dylan's "Who Cares?" comment at an early concert.) All are listen-only except Who Cares?, who offer several downloadable tracks on their MySpace page and several more on their website (click HÖRPROBEN.)
How Many Roads have recently released a CD of Dylan songs, I hope to have more details of it soon.

Dylan Lullabies - from Latvia

Just discovered is this 2006 compilation of Dylan covers from Latvia. Despite the Dylan Lullabies title, the collection of 16 previously available tracks does not have a children's or "lullaby" theme.
A web search for "dylan lullabies" will yield several sources for the CD, mostly from Latvia. US buyers can special-order the CD from balticshop.com.
This CD has been added to the Various Artists section of Dylan Cover Albums HERE.

The answer my friend is 900+

The April 1st update of the Dylan Covers DataBase will list over 900 versions of Blowin' In The Wind.
While there are more All Along The Watchtowers listed - 1,048 - I think the number of BITW's is more significant because they are almost all unique versions, where the Watchtower total is inflated by multiple live performances by many bands, such as The Grateful Dead (98 !), Dave Matthews Band (75), Phil Lesh & Friends (44), Indigo Girls (32), Ratdog (29), Keller Williams (28) and others. By comparison, the most BITW versions are by Joan Baez (18) - and several of these are unique album versions, not circulating live performances - Mountain (10) and Bob Walkenhorst (8), no one else has more than 5.

Miscellaneous ramblings...

UK singer Adele covers Make You Feel My Love on her new album 19 (her age.)
Available from: amazon.com | amazon.co.uk | amazon.de

Glen Campbell Good Times Again, released last year on DVD, is a compilation of musical performances from The Glen Campbell Good Time Hour, a variety show hosted by Campbell that aired on US television from 1969-1972. Included are two rare Glen Campbell duets: All I Really Want To Do with Cher, and Don't Think Twice, It's All Right with Anne Murray.
Available from: amazon.com

Tracks from the rare 1967 Spanish album Festival Folk, including 3 Catalan Dylan translations, is available from Amazon-mp3 and many other download services. While most sources cite the lead vocalists, and even these credits vary from source to source, they were all members of Grup de Folk. The follow-up album Folk 2 from 1968 is also included, but contains no Dylan songs.
The 3 Dylan songs:
Track 5: Escolta-Ho En El Vent (BITW)
Track 6: La Noia Del Pais Del Nord (Girl ftNC)

Track 12: Els Temps Estan Canviant (Times Changin')
Available from: amazon mp3

So far there are 70 entrants in the German I'm Not There covers contest, unfortunately most are listen-only, I have found only 11 that are downloadable.

Greek covers compilation - UPDATED

Spotted on eBay recently is this 2008 8-track compilation from Greece, described as "Only Greek and promo CD, collectible and authentic, super rare, never sold in the market, pocket sleeve edition"
I'm told the title & subtitle translation is "The poetry of Bob Dylan interpreted by..." There have been several listed for sale, try an eBay search.

DylanCover.com on MySpace

First I'd like to say I have no interest in the original "social" part of MySpace. The specialty areas like MySpace Music and Film are more tolerable and at least have a unified purpose, but there is no separation between the different areas.
That being said, MySpace Music has seemingly become a "must have" for bands, performers and record labels. Many of the features - messaging, downloading, etc. - require logging in. In some cases it's the only way to contact members. So I have reluctantly created a MySpace page for DylanCover.com, using the avatar at the left. No new content will be added there, it's basic functions are to allow me to access member-only features, provide links to other relevant members, and to promote DylanCover.com. Links displayed will be limited to Dylan-cover related members, such as Dylan tribute bands or other bands/performers who cover Dylan. No non-relevant "friends" will be added, so you won't have to wade through all the teenie-boppers and "friend collectors" :)
So if you're a MySpace fanatic or are just looking for quick links to some Dylan cover bands, visit DylanCover.com at MySpace (a permanent link is in the right sidebar.)

The Gospel Chapel Band added to
Dylan Cover Albums

The Gospel Chapel Band presents The Gospel Songs of Bob Dylan has been added to Dylan Cover Albums HERE.
The Victoria, Australia band's first album was released last month and is a fine selection of Dylan's gospel songs, including Man Of Peace and Ring Them Bells from non-gospel Dylan albums. Several of the 9 band members take turns on lead vocals.
It's good to see Dylan's gospel era get some "cover"-age. The Limited Edition of the album is a very nice package that includes a 48 page commentary book in a slipcase (shown at left) with the CD in a jewelcase. I highly recommend the album, if you can find it.
You can listen to a few tracks, get more info and contact the band on their MySpace page (MySpace account required to use their messaging service.)
I'm told they put on a great live show, so if you're in that part of the world check them out.
Thanks to Guryel Ali of the band and Nick McMahon
The band:
Guitars/Vocals/Harp: Guryel Ali
Lead Guitar/Vocals: Bruce Walker
Piano/Keyboards: Andrew Burns
Bass: Rod Gear
Drums/Congas/Vocals: Doug MacDonald
Singers: Amy Trevaskis, Laura Van De Noord, Simone Hughes, Elisha Ali
The tracklist:
Gotta Serve Somebody / Saved / Precious Angel / Man Gave Names To All The Animals / Pressing On / Ring Them Bells / I Believe In You / When You Gonna Wake Up / Shot Of Love / Solid Rock / Man Of Peace / When He Returns / Slow Train / In The Garden / Every Grain of Sand

Added 3/16:

When The Night Comes Falling From The Sky
Boot LP: Musichien SMR 11789-JH

In tribute to Jeff Healey who died March 2nd.
This LP does not specify any recording information, but other sources identify this set to be from the Healey trio's 1989 appearance on the German TV program Ohne Filter.
The band's studio version of When The Night Comes Falling From The Sky can be found on the soundtrack of the movie Road House, and it was also issued on several singles, as both A and B sides. Jeff and the band were featured both on the soundtrack and on-screen in the movie. When The Night... and All Along The Watchtower were both performed often during the band's tour to promote their 1988 debut album See The Light and for several years after.
